Welcome to The Missing Page - a UK-based creative website dedicated to art, Books, and history writing.
Hi, I’m Jodie. I’m a Warwickshire-based creator living with my family and two cast, Odin and Athena, who firmly reinforce my belief that animals are preferable to people. This website is where I share my creative work across multiple artistic mediums, alongside in-depth book reviews and a history blog rooted in curiousity, storytelling, and a love of the past.
I hold a degree focused on Classical History, Italian, and Latin, and history has never really stopped following me. My academic background continues to shape much of what I write about. I’m particularly interested in ancient history, historical narratives that have been overlooked, and the way the past continues to influence modern storytelling. I find myself drawn to the strange, forgotten, and unsettling corners of it - the stories that don’t always make it into textbooks. That interest often overlaps with my love of exploring historical and spooky locations, which regularly inspire both my writing and artwork.
I’m an avid reader, with favourites ranging from Stephen King and Deborah Harkness to Dan Brown. I enjoy books that blur genres, play with history, or leave a lingering sense of unease. Alongside reviewing what I read, I’m currently working on writing my own novel, slowly and stubbornly, as most good things tend to be written.
When I’m not creating or reading, you’ll usually find me at the gym, planning my next trip to somewhere old and atmospheric, or falling down a research rabbit hole I didn’t intend to enter.
The Missing Page is, ultimately, a reflection of the things I love most: creativity, stories, history, and a space where fact and immagination overlap. If you enjoy, art, books, and the darker more curious edges of the past, you’re very much in the right place.
